I've had pussy willows in a kettle drum with other branches for years, and saw these when it was recently time to replenish their numbers. Based only on my own experience decorating with them, prairie willow branches seem to be much more densely covered with catkins, which is excellent, but it's the color of the catkins that really make these special. Don't expect vivid colors, but even so, the tiny amount of color variation is a nice surprise and will make people look twice. The base catkin color is a slightly darker grey than seen on its cousins, but then you'll start to find some that are slightly tinted towards blue, purple, and red as well. I'd recommend shaking the branches off well as you unpackage them, as my shipment was carrying tons of tiny catkin husks that undoubtedly came loose during shipping. All-in-all, a very good deal for the price, 10 bundles went a long way.
